Summer school participants are expected to arrive by Sunday evening, 27 August 2023. We recommend arrival on Sunday afternoon since the Ecole de Physique opens by 3:00PM and dinner is served at 7:30PM. The school starts on Monday morning and concludes on Friday 1 September after the morning session.

For the numerical practicals, the participants are requested to bring a laptop, or will team up with other attendees if they have none. A preliminary, online "install meeting" will be organized shortly before the School to prepare all technical details (python/jupyter environment) in advance. Only limited/minimal programming knowledge will be required, since the goal of the practicals will be to understand the input parameters, workflow, and theory of the simulations, rather than their technical implementation.

A Discord server will be available in advance, for chatting and sharing experiences among attendees, regarding e.g. the installation of necessary packages for the numerical practicals.
